Mulan live action film was a long awaited film after the announcement of the remake. Since it was a remake from the Disney animation Mulan, the expectation for this live action film was quite high. You expect the epic transformation of Mulan, the comedy and the sweet hint of romance that was displayed in the animation. But, all of those were rather too subtle in this live action that it gave me a “meh” reaction.
I have to praise that the visuals of this film are beautiful. The colour of the costumes as well as the scenery is really attractive but the story was quite boring. Maybe it’s because of the lack of music or maybe it's because of the lack of the little dragon character, Mushu. All and all, the film was quite dull and stiff for me.
